AiMe Privacy Policy

1. Overview

AiMe is built with a creator‑first mindset. Your data is yours, and we treat it with respect. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how you stay in control.

2. Information We Collect

We collect what it takes to run the tools you use:

• Account information — your email, name or username, and sign-in details.
• What you give the tools — your Creator Quiz answers, ideas and prompts, articles or links you paste, and what you make (scripts, threads, plans, drafts, designs).
• What you upload — videos, audio, posts and documents you add in Feed the Hive, the transcripts made from them, clips you upload to react to, art you post to The Showcase, your logos, and the photos you give Your Animated Persona.
• Billing — your plan and what you bought. Card details go straight to Stripe; AiMe never sees or stores them.
• Usage and error data — which features you use and how they performed, technical details when something breaks, and the IP address and browser details your device sends (used for security and to stop abuse such as duplicate accounts).

3. How We Use It

• To run the features you ask for, using your own material.
• To let the bot staff and tools write in your voice: your uploads are turned into searchable passages kept under your account only.
• To keep your account secure and the site working.
• To send you your daily account update and upload receipts in Messages.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Uploading Your Own Exported Content

If you upload content you exported from another platform (an Instagram "Download Your Information" export, an X archive, Google Takeout, or similar), you are confirming you have the right to use it. AiMe does not verify ownership.

AiMe never logs in to Instagram, X, YouTube, Google or any other platform for you. You export your files yourself and choose what to upload. When you paste a link to an article, AiMe reads that one public page to answer your request; that text is not kept as part of what the bot staff learn from. When an upload has other people talking in it, AiMe tries to keep only your voice; it can get this wrong.

5. The Outside Services AiMe Uses

To do its work, AiMe sends some of your information to these services. Each one receives only what it needs for the job listed, under its own privacy policy:

• OpenAI — writes text (the bot staff, scripts, threads, plans), turns your uploads into searchable passages, reads the photos you give Your Animated Persona and draws your cartoon and merch mockups. Some requests reach OpenAI through Netlify's AI Gateway. Under OpenAI's API terms, what AiMe sends is not used to train their models.
• AssemblyAI — turns the audio in your videos and clips into text, and tells voices apart. It fetches each file through a private link that expires.
• Supabase — stores your account, your content and your uploads, and handles sign-in.
• Netlify — hosts the site and runs its server code.
• Stripe — takes payments and manages your subscription.
• Sentry — receives technical error reports (what broke, where, and the account id it happened to) so problems can be fixed.

AiMe itself does not train AI models on your content. AI output can be wrong — see section 7 of the Terms of Service.

6. What Other People Can See

Your uploads, transcripts, quiz answers and everything you make stay private to your account. Other people see only what you choose to share: posts and comments on The Honey Patch, art you post to The Showcase, your name and rank on The Honeycomb, and the one cartoon you choose with "Use as my picture".

7. Cookies & Local Storage

AiMe uses cookies and your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and remember settings such as light or dark mode. Clearing them signs you out.

8. Your Rights

• See what we hold about you — ask us and we will send it.
• Correct your account details in Settings.
• Delete your account and everything in it — use Delete Account in Settings or email us, and we remove it.
• Cancel your plan at any time from Billing.

9. How Long We Keep It

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your uploads, transcripts, everything you made and your account details within a reasonable period. Some records may be kept longer where needed for payment processing, fraud prevention, security, the law, resolving disputes or enforcing our Terms; backup copies are deleted or overwritten on their normal schedule. Posts and comments you made public may be removed, anonymized, or kept where needed to keep a conversation readable.

Why we use your information: to provide the features you ask for, run the platform, keep accounts secure, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations, and for legitimate business purposes allowed by law.

10. Keeping Your Data Safe

Your data is stored with Supabase and served through Netlify, encrypted in transit. Uploads sit in private storage that only your account and AiMe's servers can open, and AiMe's own database tables are locked so that one account can never read another's.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as AiMe evolves. Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated terms.
